Photo Galleries Crucial for Successful Cosmetic Surgery Sites

After the home page, the most popular web page on many plastic surgery sites is the before-and-after photo gallery. As potential patients, we love to pull back the curtain and see what kind of transformation may be possible. Do we see body types like ours? Do we see the results we hope to achieve for ourselves? If we like what we see, then we may be more compelled to click the button that says "Schedule an Appointment."

sps-350.jpgThe before-and-after photo gallery for Savannah Plastic Surgery recently received a facelift (pun intended). The new gallery provides more viewing options - for example, you can view the entire gallery at once, or view by procedure, or by physician.  The new gallery is optimized for view on mobile devices and tablets, which is critically important now that so many web users browse directly from smartphones.

While each photo is accompanied by a description about the procedure performed, the gallery still complies with patient privacy policies. Savannah Plastic Surgery maintains consent forms from every person who appears in the gallery, and Heideldesign ensures no names or identifying information are included in the gallery files.

The Savannah Plastic Surgery site also takes advantage of the galleries in multiple areas. In addition to the main gallery page, procedure-specific galleries appear in the sidebar of procedure landing pages. Check out the Mommy Makeover page, for example.

Galleries also appear on the surgeon's bio pages, pulling only that doctor's photos to display in his or her sidebar. See Dr. Scott Vann's page for example.

Before a patient ever walks into your cosmetic surgery center, chances are he or she has already done a lot of internet research. When they visit your website, will they find a before-and-after photo gallery that really showcases your transformative work?
