Summer's Kiss
Heideldesign crafted Summer's Kiss, a career archive of 90s rock group, the Afghan Whigs. The experience is rich with content and interactive elements.
The Afghan Whigs were rock and roll pioneers, merging the fuzz tones of early 90's grunge with the soul of 1960's R&B. After a 10+ year career that brought them varying levels of critical and public acclaim, the band broke up in 2001. Summer's Kiss: A Tribute to the Afghan Whigs serves as an archive of their career, cataloguing recordings, live dates, memorabilia, and press. The site currently contains over 1000 documents and continues to grow daily. Site interactivity includes a message board, site search, store, and notification mailing list.
The site was completely redesigned in October of 2003 and again in March 2004 to include work by the post-Afghan Whigs band, the Twilight Singers. Summer's Kiss currently features a tighter integration with the band and related support staff and includes a road journal by a member of the group.
