Official St. Patrick's Day
To celebrate more than 190 years of St. Patrick's Day festivities, the City of Savannah, GA launched a website to serve citizens, visitors, and the curious.
The site's cosmetic structure is built with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). This allows for fast customization and reduced bandwidth. It also allows the style to be automatically formatted for older browser types, and adds increased compliance with ADA standards.
Thousands descend upon the city each year to participate in the parades and River Street party atmosphere. This influx creates potential problems for citizens. The site serves as a resource for road closings and press releases for resident information. For visitors, the site has an extensive list of applicable laws and ordinaces as well as maps for getting around town.
