SavannahThe Sanctuary Child Learning and Development Center, in Savannah, GA, has teamed with heideldesign to provide streaming video services to parents and guardians.
This service enables parents who have enrolled children at the daycare to view their child's activities throughout the day via the internet.
Five of the Sanctuary's care rooms are outfitted with surveillance cameras, which send live video to a local internet server. The video is then available to the end user by means of a client interface.
The service is provided by the Sanctuary for no extra cost. It is optional for parents who would like to use the service.
So far, the video initiative has been a hit with parents, according to Sanctuary staff.
