SavannahHeideldesign owner Lee Heidel has been named to the 2005 "Hand in Hand With Children: Guiding and Protecting" Internet Safety Day Planning Committee.
The committee will be active in organizing events to increase awareness of the important issues in internet safety for young people. The official observance date is February 9, 2005 in Savannah, GA; but events will be conducted throughout the month.
Other organizations with representation on the committee include the City of Savannah, Live Oak Public Libraries, BellSouth, Comcast, The Creative Coast, PST, Chatham County Board of Education, and Entre.
Many instructional opportunities are planned, including a class on internet safety at the libraries, public service announcements, and community center/neighborhood citizen groups lectures.
