Restaurant Websites: A Feast for the Eyes

Good food is often gorgeous food. When a chef plates an entree with bright colors, lively sauces and a beautiful garnish, it's enough to make your stomach rumble.

So when the Gaslight Group approached Heideldesign to create new websites for their 4 key restaurant locations in Savannah, we knew photography needed to be the focal point of the design.

Blowin Smoke

From mouth-watering main dishes, to tantalizing desserts and cocktails, the first thing you'll notice when you visit one of their restaurant websites is that the food looks delicious (and we can attest - it tastes just as good as it looks!).

Once you've feasted your eyes on the slideshow of food photography, the site promptly answers your next questions. Where is the restaurant? When is it open? What's on the menu?

As a restaurant owner, you don't want your potential customers to have to dig for this information. So we made sure all of these questions could be answered either directly on the home page, or with just one click of a prominent call-out button.

5 Spot

While all 4 of the restaurant sites share design basics like the photo slideshow and callout buttons, the sites also need to showcase each restaurant's unique style. The 5 Spot website features a background of metallic hues to reflect the restaurant's industrial aesthetic. B. Matthew's website background mimics the exposed brick you'll find in this classy downtown restaurant. Each of the four sites is as unique as the restaurants themselves.

We'd love for you to check out these new restaurant websites - and if you're lucky enough to be in Savannah we're pretty sure you'll want to visit the restaurants in person too. We may just see you there!
